Fun ways to spruce up your lanai this Summer.

Fun ways to spruce up your lanai this Summer.

Ahhh, Summer. Time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine, light breeze and thrilling afternoon thunderstorms from the comfort of your lanai.

But, why go out and enjoy the same lanai you enjoyed last Summer when with a few simple touches, you can spruce up your lanai and make it feel like a brand new room?

Here are just a few ideas we put together to help make your lanai comfortable and inviting for Summer entertaining, or just getting lost in a good Summer read.

1. Bring the inside out!
Don't limit your lanai decor to just outdoor patio furniture. Incorporate new, decorative pillows and throws and bring indoor decorative accessories outside for a more homey feel.

2. Keep your feet comfy too!
Nothing pulls a space together and makes it feel more comfortable than good rugs. Add a large rug under a table in the center of a seating area, or add small, individual rugs to the base of each chair for even more relaxing fun in the sun.

3. Add window treatments.
While your retractable screen gives you plenty of privacy, curtains add another dimension of beauty and tie the entire room together aesthetically. Enjoy the best of both worlds as your retractable screen lets you breathe the fresh air and watch the breeze gently blow the curtains, bug-free!

4. Add ambient lighting.
After the sun goes down, few things add more sparkle to a room than twinkling ambient lights. Sure, real candles are fabulous, but get even more life out of ambient lighting by adding amber twinkling LED lights around the border of your lanai.

5. Add a motorized screen. Keep the critters out and enjoy a screened in lanai at the touch of a button.

Excellent company, I’ve had 3 screens installed by Michele’s and have had no issues. Customer service is over the top. Do yourself a favor, have your screens installed by Michele’s, you won’t regret it. The only issue I had was that I changed the battery on the remote and they charged me $50 for a 5-minute repair. After buying several screens from I would hope there would be no charge or a smaller charge. Disappointed for sure but still a first class vender.

I had to call Michelle’s Hideaway Screens to repair the damage I did backing into the closed screen panels of my garage. The service person made quick work of installing new roller brackets, straightening the runners of the base plate and reinstalling the screen panels. Florida garages get very hot and I love having the screens for air flow. I recommend this company.
